SPRING FIELD TRIPS
SPRING 2012
"TO THE FARM"
The following is a letter received from St. Gregory School.
Dear Anna and Hill Bleemel,
The 4th and 5th grade class from St. Gregory School visited your farm on
Oct. 28th. We had an amazing day filled with exciting activities and a variety
of learning experiences at Slow Poke Farm.
Your events were designed to both delight the "nature of the child" and also
allow students to interact with farm animals on a more personal level.
Thank you for allowing us to share the with you, your helpful staff, and the farm
animals?
Living Peacefully and Organically,
Linda Thompson, Teacher
Teachers, please schedule your class a Spring Field Trip. We are taking reservations NOW for the spring
of 2012. Don't disappoint your class - call today!
Slow Poke Farm's Spring Field Trips
With fewer people living on farms and producing food these days,
educating our youth
about agriculture and its impact on our lives is more important
than ever. And what better way to hear that message than from
the farmers themselves.
We are passionate about bringing real information about the food we
eat. Our farm offers a variety of crops (soybeans, hay, pumpkins, and corn),
livestock, poultry, and vegetables.
Our experience on the farm will surely bring something special
to your classrooms.
Please call (502) 921-9632 to reserve your date to visit.
We are located in Bullitt County on Highway 480.
We are approximately 30 min. from downtown Louisville>
